A qualified marine engineer, Fred served in the RAF, first as a turbine fitter with the Black Arrows 111 Squadron, and then as a pilot officer flying Hunters. Fred has been heavily associated with World Water Speed records, first with the ‘White Hawk’ jet hydrofoil, and later with Donald Campbell. He is a licensed pilot, for international day and night flying.

Fred is also a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management and he is working as part of the team with both engineering design and sales and marketing.

Fred has very strong involvement with the local business community and, of course, has the required streak of insanity needed to be involved with a rocket car. Now working as a management consultant, Fred’s client list includes the C.A.A., Cranfield University, Saachi & Saachi and British Aerospace.
