David is a time-served machine-shop engineer who came up through the old and very thorough, apprenticeship scheme.

David has a wide background of experience in the motorsport industry. He worked on the first Ford Cosworth RS cars, the Le-Mans XR Jaguar cars, and has been producing parts for historic formula racing cars such as BRM, Brabham, Lotus and Cooper. He has been involved in drag racing since the inception of the Santa Pod track, which is three miles from his home.

David is responsible for the machining of all critical rocket motor parts and the design and production of many of the unique parts that make up the ‘laffin-gas’ chassis.
